Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship
Each year, the Center will offer a 1-year post-doctoral fellowship position that is designed to provide intensive training and mentoring for research leadership and faculty service. The salary for the fellowship will be $40,000, plus the applicable institutional fringe benefit package, with an additional $5,100 in research funds. The fellow will be expected to do the following:
- Develop a research project, obtain IRB permission, and submit a proposal for research funding
- Lead a weekly Literature Reading Club and attend monthly senior scholar meetings
- Assist with Center activities, including research being conducted in the Center, preparations for the national meeting, and activities related to the membership society (particularly the e-newsletter)
- Write, submit and have accepted two papers (a summary of research in their particular area of interest and in another area of STH research)
- Present proposed research to at least one academic audience
