Alyson J. Breisch is the Administrative Director of Health and Nursing Ministries at Duke Divinity School and is responsible for directing the Duke University Divinity School and School of Nursing graduate degree program in health and nursing ministries and developing health ministries and congregational nursing continuing education. Alyson has done presentations on health ministries at Duke Divinity School’s Annual Convocation and Pastors’ School, at faith communities across North Carolina, at the Health Ministries Association (HMA) National Conferences, and the International Parish Nurse Resource Center’s Westberg Symposiums. Alyson is the North Carolina co-chair of the Carolinas’ Chapter of Health Ministries Association (HMA). She is the Practice and Education Chair on the national HMA Board of Directors.

Alyson has been a member of her church’s Health Ministries Committee for the past 10 years. She was installed as the Parish Nurse at United Church of Christ in Chapel Hill, NC in January 2002. In September 2006, she completed the one-year process of in-care with the Eastern North Carolina Association of the United Church of Christ and was installed as the Commissioned Minister of Congregational Health at United Church of Chapel Hill.
