(6-month prospective cohort study of all young people (ages 10-23) admitted to the Youth Chemical Dependency Center at the North Dakota State Hospital during a 15 month period (n=96 of 134 admissions); 70% not really involved with any religion at all, and the majority participate in religious ceremonies less than once a year which are almost always special events such as marriages) (actual percentages not given) (did not mention effects of religious involvement on outcomes 6 months later) (no statistical correlations)
